Supply ships for K'Luth feel almost pointless since ships hull repair from under cloak, and they can't restock AHR.

that and they have no aft armor.. i think a EAD can flux kill one, in one shot , if its ass end is showing towards the ship.

For that I originally replaced the AHR with chitin, but since that is now an armor upgrade, I'm stuck with a bare aft, which is so fragile that torpedoes crashing into someone 100gu's away can severely injure if not outright kill.

I swear these ships have the hull of a scout.

Yeah, replace that tractor beam it has with a armor arc. It's rear is too squishy.

At this point, I seriously dont see player flown suppy to have a real place in PvP Combat. Other than a quick restock of ammo/missiles. or on bombing runs. (I for one will alway seek to assasinate any player suppy i see, they're just soo darned easy to kill, i cant help it!)

For heavy duty prestige gaining hull/armor rep, much safer and efficient to use a suply station. or if u dont care about pres and just want major tactical repair, supply plats are more efficient. I always keep ~20k resource in my garage for a quick cluster.

For new players seeking pres gain figure out ways to effectively contribute in COMBAT is the way to go. (learning to bomb also helps as a suplement, but takes more skill)

Best ships to do these for NEW players:

ICC: Stealth Corvette 5 Fusion Torp+ECM
Ugto: Harrier Frig 6 missile +ECM
Kluth: Any of the Destroyer class hulls are good staters.

All have high damg potential and good survivability.

The only problem is that you need to fly suppy at one point in order to get your repair badge.

I'd like to see a grade of supply ships that are as tough as cruisers, but have a highly reduced rate of supply when in combat.
It could serve to restock ammo in combat, and manage repairs much more effectively out of combat.

Yea the problem with Supply ships, isn't really their use. it's the necessity of getting the support badges for other ships. which you can only do in the near useless suppys.

the slow pres gain, and extreme squishyness of sup ships is just asking for players to boost to get the badge. makes the badge kind of moot then.

And how often do you see someone in a supply who isnt working for those badges? I haven't in years.

Doing a change to them might bring back their use to help in combat. Cause many a times where i wished there was a supply there to give me more ammo, or repair that arc of armor that just failed

would more armor and less guns work on the point front? It's a supply ship and not a combat ship after all.

Yeah pretty much this. People aren't using Supply ships to get combat pres, they want repair pres. Just do a reverse setup like with the Engineers, T1 has more armor/shields and 1 drone, T2 has a little less armor/shields but 2 drones, and T3 is about where the current ones are but 3 drones.

Why not remove the resource cost of the supply ships entirely?
You know the ICC have a engineer that has a supply drone, no resource cost... It's not quite as tough or fast, but it can build and it can repair.

Really, what is the point of supply ships costing resources?
Flimsy little kluth snacks.

This is sorta what we're doing, except supplies gain both defenses and drones but lose engines with each tier. We're going to balance it such that T1 Supplies are as fast as Destroyers, T2 as fast as Cruisers, and T3 are as fast as Dreads.

That's... actually, not a bad idea. 2 out of 3 support ships are already cost-free, doing the same with Supplies would make it consistent and help promote their use over that of Stations.

Hm.....that sounds even better, supply ships usually get killed by being point jumped or having something decloak ontop of them, in either case it's death by beam and point blank torps so speed doesn't help any.

Hey... do you want T1 supps to be at their present size... T2 to be bigger, and T3 to be bigger yet?

My only concern is getting those large supplys and them sitting on top of a Uggie stat we will have the invincible blob of stats of old. So please tell me you balanced that in some way!!!!
