I'll happily test it, unfortunately there's no real way to do it without a lot of developer access.

Flutter that is a VERY good first attempt. I'll go over it later tonight and touch it up. I can see a few errors, but nothing major at all.

How did that turn out? I'm interested in expanding on it, for one thing, giving an option at the start so the player can choose between just jumping straight into the action or getting a more informative intro (First time player may want to go through all of it, someone who already read it before may want to skip it)

Also wondering about having a way for a player to skip to certain waves, can the script check for key words being said in the chat? If a player just says "28" it would go to wave 28.

Still interested in this if you're alive

I'd be thrilled to see the rest of you give this a try as well, you could really do anything from a fully fledged campaign with different story paths to a simple test arena.

Probably only things like the tutorial will get included here. It used to be a long time ago we could host servers on darkspace with different victory conditions and so forth but that was a long time ago back in 2003 I think. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

JACK! "http://jack-online.co.uk/.nopeek/scriptref/" is a 404. D:

EDIT: My attempt at creating a Bombing with Infantry tutorial. Keep in mind, it may not be perfect hinting at that I have no way to test it, and no access to the full DS LUA API in which I could improve it. Anways, I digress.
You can find the past here

I would have made the Retry part send them back to the Ship Selection screen, but alas, I'm not sure if it's possible or how to do it.

I fixed the link in the original post.

I'm currently dealing with the flu, so not really up to working on DarkSpace in any way shape or form.

I'll take a look when my body is back to working order.

One thing I can suggest is that I don't think we need a separate tutorial just for setting infantry to raze, this might be better if it was rolled into one comprehensive "Bombing" tutorial that covered all of the concepts involved in attacking planets.

This is a good idea, the more related things in one tutorial the better.

Alright. I'll get started on making a universal tutorial that covers all aspects of bombing later tonight or tomorrow.

EDIT: There may be some delay as I've came down with a cold, I want to get over with this before I start on any programming really, sorry.

I've been trying to get the hang of hte basics of this LUA thing. However, the manual provided seems a bit technical for me in my understanding. Is there a LUA or program for dummies that I might find especially helpful in trying to craft a tutorial?

I've been insanely busy with work (just had a week off but spent that trying to sort out real life things (boo!)). Any member of the dev team with Resourcer access can run, compile, test, etc, the scripts. It doesn't require me or Faustus, just a vague knowledge of LUA.
