This week I'll be working on getting some footage for the new trailer. I will be recording on the Beta server usually in the evening EST. Bare in mind that the game always looks better with a little forced anti-aliasing if your machine can handle it  . We added a default 4x anisotripic filtering to beta, which should mean you don't need to add that (but you can should you want to crank it up to 16x).
If people want me to fire up the full MV for short periods of time (I mean 10 minutes) that's cool too - unfortunately, VM4 is but a tiny server compared to VM3 (release), and as a result, we can't run all the processes at once for periods of time (as the simulation gets heavier as the game world gets built up).

Well I have a 2gb card so that is no problem. I figured the slots were smaller, but when you think in darkspace terms even six people is enough to show off the new toys!

The trailer itself is already halfway done. I just need some combat clips like always there isn't enough action going on. I was hoping we could be looking at a stress test in the new future.

Why is it that almost every recorded video of DS, the colors always seem so dull? Its like the contrast has been turned way down. It also seems like there isn't that much lighting either. It's hard to see detail for me in the video.
Is this something the recorder did? or what?
Just curiosity.

Color reduced 50% in every video. The only difference it makes would be in an unedited video everything appears bloomed. Any other video I assumed poor quality that can be adjusted on YouTube in most cases.

This movie has amazing video and music sync. Another excellent one.
How do you rotate and zoom so smoothly? And how do you hide mouse cursor? There are some 180 degree that I can't imagine how you turn the camera with such fine speed...
