My advice to anyone would be to reduce your bloom to under 50%. Personally I use about 25%. This prevents the lighting on your ship or any other source from washing the entire scene out.
At full bloom, everything looks like a neon nightclub. Sorta like the over exposed scenes in that "Pacific Rim" movie. Maybe some may like it. It's too much glow for me.

and alt t makes a screenshot in your darkspace/cache folder, so you dont have to pase each screenshot but for instance make 5 in a row while flying and choose the best one. also try to play full screen, not windowed, and close the hud with numpad keys or by clicking on it.
wasnt there a way to even remove the 4 remaining icons in the corners of the screen that allow hud to be reactivated? and the text in top right of screen? tried all alt and ctrl combo's, except with function keys cause that will do a whole set of other stuff...
