I'll be honest, I've never really used WinAmp that much. For all of my media I use BS player.
I'm certain WinAmp won't truly die. The fact that it won't be officially available for download doesn't mean you won't be able to get it. People will just put it up on some websites and you'd still be able to get it. And as for how long that will last, I think that support for it, while officially dead, would still be available. We live in a time when modding and improving programs on your own is a regular thing for those talented enough to do it. This potentially means WinAmp could even outlive Aol itself, as long as interest for it never dies.

They can't do this! I use WinAmp's LOUDNESS plugin to play all my old Tyrian soundtrack files!
