Maybe its time for an update to the DS website layout/design.
I swear it hasn't changed since i started in 2010 lol.
Might encourage more people to play?
I'd volunteer but i use Dreamweaver and still suck at it...

actually, it hasnt changed much since late '02. the last person who we brought on to do any sort of web-work disappeared after [circumstances we're not at liberty to discuss if true] and hasnt been heard from since.
as nice as it'd be to give the front pag
e a face lift, upgrade the forums to a current version of phpbb or something like xenforo, there is a lot of customized code that ties a lot of separate parts together, like profile pages, rankings, that changing anything significantly would more or less break this, that, and about a half dozen other things.. So any major changes would potentially be a major undertaking for some professional talent, and would most likely require taking the whole website offline for the update (however long that takes).

not so difficult for a php developer and xenforo would be a great platform. how long is the website going to snow? lol

Every time we have looked into what it would take to update the PHPbb install of the board we run out of the room screaming...
The PHPbb code was highly modified and tweaked to work with GCQL. And the more we change how thing work and look, the more difficult it makes to change or update the code.
This is one of those "would be nice" projects, but with limited development resources I think we can agree its better its focused on the game and not the website or chat interface.
Now is some super steller coder/web developer is willing to donate some time, i am sure Faustus would LOVE to hear from you.

Well, I do know very basic HTML5, but the skills that I have are no where near qualifying. I'm willing go donate some time, but as I said, I lack proper skills, and I'm still in school and stuff. I would rather worry about that right now than worrying about this website (no offense). After school, I should know more HTML5, so we shall see then.
