I downloaded the game last week. When I tried to play the tutorial all I could see was a bunch of fuzzy vertical lines. (please note my other online games(DAoC and WW2Online) work fine.
My system is a 850mhz AMD on a Jetway 663AS Pro motherboard, 512 ram, NvidiaTnT2 Video Card running Win98
Here is what I have tried to fix problem. I have downloded the newest Detenator Drivers. I have used detenator destroyer and loaded detenator drivers. I have downloaded DirectX 8.1, I have downloaded 4 in 1 drivers for my motherboard.
I still cant play, please help, Ill try anything.

4in1 is ok

to get rid of the driver:

install a standard vga-card-driver
(as it was right after install of the OS)

then - install the detonator 12.90

keep me informed, perhaps the problem is still the chipset of your MoBo

I deleted the new drivers. Ran detenator destroyer and the installed standard Vga driver, I then installed 12.9. Still no workie

i actually feel your pain - i try to get Jedi-Knight II - Outcast on my machine - with no sucsess, till now

back to your problem:

- are there other games, making problem's??

- did you ever try it out with a more "actual" vid-card (GeF2/3//Radeon)??

i get the feeling, it's not (only) related to the vid-card

perhaps we should also look onto your sound card and net-connection

Im running 800x 600x16 on my screen resolution. I tried to change this to a higher setting. I got the fuzzy lines. This has not happened before. Is this the problem?
I can still play WW2Online and DAoC just fine. I updated my sound drivers.

oh, than can be the reason why

a TnT2 is , well, hrm, a bit far away of the present
while still a good card, the TNT2 lack of power and abilities

if with the resolution 800x600x16 the problem is solved, stay there untill you got a more powerfull vid-card

No the problem is not solved, was just trying to give more information. I know the TnT is not top of the line but as I said I can play WW2Online and DAoC just fine with it.
