It's always been like that, cloak only functions at 0 signature, if it's raised or lowered at all the cloak has to compensate for it. You are, in effect, pinging yourself when you activate ECM while already cloaked.

He added it back in stealthily. You removed it originally because players complained about it being repetitive. Solution may be to just have a 10% chance to play the sound . Then everyone's happy!

Can you allow us to pick what sounds we want to hear and not hear, like screen switching, that keypess sound on each keypres is not needed. That always goaning background space sound. I really just want to hear sound if someone is shooting at me or something interesting is going on.
I don't so much want to hear my subwoofer always grumbling with the background sounds.

It worked like that prior to the patch when pinging was still possible.

Didn't the devs say that with the current cloak-energy system, ECM was supposed to counter ECCM effects of piling on the sig load?

Now if using ECM makes u visible, then how do u counter ECCM effects?
