EDIT: Nice...def bases work, and so does multiple building...building...very nice resource cost progression...just a single question though, when do we gain more turns? Daily? Never?

A few changes to the original plans...
You cannot build Domes. Population will climb ad-infinatum.
As for other things...
When building, make sure you have enough food and resources to last. I recommend building 5+ mines and a couple of farms to start with. This should ensure that you do not run out resources/food until you get a relatively decent income.
Construction Facilities cost the same as other stuctures to build.
I have also made progressive structures on a planet more expensive. This reflects space to build being at premium and it also gives more incentive for players to attack others in order to gain planets and space to build.
Next stage is to get exploration working. Once you are able to find other planets then the build costs etc. can be tweaked further.

Exploration now works. Just send out your scout ship and you have a good chance of finding planets.
At the moment you wil lfind it hard to get more than 4 or 5 planets. Once you can build more scouts this should become easier although I hope to have a soft limit of around 30 planets unless you focus your entire economy on exploring.
The idea is to encourage people to attack others for easier gains.
You might also find you are unable to use your last turn. This is because the turns are rounded to the nearest whole number for display purposes. I am currently working on a solution.

ehhm, maybe make barren planets have more res output? Since they are barren they will be easier to mine simply cuz there hasnt been millions of years of vegetation 'poluting' the mins
Also to make the barren a bit more desirable....
Atm the Terrans are the most desirable, ofc they are, they are the only ones capable of sustaining life on its own. But maybe spread out the bonuses and the maluses of the planets a bit more, instead of making the terran uber in all.
Ex.
Barren planet = Hvy concentration of ressources but limited to no life capability. Farms are non-existant since the planet has 0 atmoshpere and defensive value is moderate (mining outpost)
Inhospitable = Moderate ressources, limited life support, low farming opportunity. Very Good defensive value and research bonus for terraforming (defensive outpost due to toxic clouds messing with sensors)
Ice = Low ressources, moderate life support, low farming, moderate defense and very good research (why do you think scientist live on greenland and the poles?) (research outpost)
Ocean = no ressources, good lifesupport, very good farming, limited defenses, no research (farming outpost)
Terran = moderate ressources, very good lifesupport, good farming, moderate defenses, moderate research (capital planet, basicly moderate on all since its terran )
Production should be equal to all planets, maybe give a slight boost according to ressources present on that planet

Im getting -7k odd food every turn, I cant seem to undo it unless I keep producing an infinite amount of farms.

Currently Barrens are the worst and most common planets ingame and it sucks getting them.
I have considered spreading the bonuses a little more, but I think we should wait until I get the tech system added. Barrens/Ice will make ideal planets for dumping your Labs and Factories on.

Very nice. I do like the new planet overview window, much better than the last (lol...just kidding). My one concern is that the alliances page does nothing, not even take you to a random page...this is shaping up to be quite a good game...
BTW: 3 planets with 20, 20, and 10 def each...bring it!
