I'm not sure how this fourth faction works; is it called the Legion, and the cruisers name is MIR? Or Legion is an old name, replaced by MIR?
Anyway, this assumes they're called MIR.
MIR Destroyer : 'Taurus'
Armament:
3 IE Drives[aft]
[beam][range:150gu]4 Gamma Wave Projector[does high shield/armor damage, little or no hull damage][2fore-right 2fore-left]
[beam][range:500gu]4 Light CPC[concentrated plasma cannon], does 1.5x shield/armor damage than scls, little or no hull damage[1fore-right 1fore-left 2 full]
[missile][range:200-1200gu]4 Spine Missile, extremely fast[350gu/s], uses collision for damage, very low tracking[2fore-right 2fore-left]
[special II]Gravity Wave Sensors, detects ALL ships except cloaked K'luth cruiser and above up to 5000000gu, but makes position known at 4999000gu away.

Great idea a fourth faction.
Basing on what you are posting i think you are getting at a faction with high sensing abilities, but with low weapon damage?
If yes, i think some ships that this faction might have are:
anti cloak- ships basically like dictors except they posess an anti cloak device capable of decloaking ships within 300 gu of it. However this ship has fairly few guns
sweaper- a ship basically for detecting mines within 5k gu
exploran- basic scout class ship with drones that can be launched onto a planet to explore what buildings that planet posses. Drones could have a maximum range of 2k gu.

but, MIR ships are moer short in length, bulky and...well... BIG. other then that though.... it's good.

Naw there is more then one, there not long, however they are wide and large like it was stated above. But! Definetly looks like a mir type faction ship in a way, more of a gaifen thoe . (btw check your PMs... There should be something a few weeks old in there...  )

I believe there is the engie, the transport, cruiser, and dread for the Mir.
The cruiser same size as a dread and a dread same size as the station, engie pretty big too.
Like the model though. Maybe an advanced Gaifen

Ive played with/against/AS MIR and their ships are all Cruisers and Dreads (unless the admin have added somthing since MIR's removel from the game)
Whilst pirates are only scouts/corvettes and small friagtes.
=P

Last beta during the release of 483 players for a short period of time where able to use the mir and pirates.. If your going to need screen shots of the other types, you could try and ask one of the staff members, but not knowing if they will or are allowed to.. Still worth it to ask atleast thoe.

Nope Os, for the few weeks that they were in the game, i hosted my own map/server and created fleets/factions for both Pirates, MIR as well as UGTO ICC and K'Luth.
I did get a 24 hour ban for it though....

Ah yes the SE drive and there Jdrive, very cool effects for the jdrive. U might ask Zeritu if he has any screenies not sure if he is the screenie type, but he flew the Engineer and tranny affter the players were unable to fly em in Beta,
The Mir seem too have a look of a bird with immense beak sections and small [well compared too the beak] yet wide wings.
As far as the tranny goes im not sure if its the cruiser we see in the daily screenshot everynow and then or if thats just a cruiser, seems to me that it is a transport, big and deadly.
Ok brainfart the image of the Transport popped in my head and it is not the cruiser, it was more green and had diff look altogether from the cruiser, it had same coloring as the dread if i remember correctly, this was the size of a cruiser.
