Pfft that goes against DS tradition!

(I actually do have this philosophy now though. I enjoy the game for what it is)

Plus, if it's true that the current large rings were from larger models that were shrunk w/o also shrinking the rings, it makes sense to shrink them in the future. I wish I could remember if that was the case, but DS history is starting to become one large blur to me.

From what I remember models were supposed to be scaled up, but the ICC Combat Destroyer is the only one that was done. I forget what the issue was with everything else being left as is.

Kaus, it was just an idea. a possible way of DS evolution. no fuss here. the same as, when DS evolved into having arcs.

Yup, as strange as it may seem, this is my philosophy.

However, I spend as much time as possible pointing out what is realistic and what is not because it seems that Hollywood has generally bent sci-fi so far out of shape that people wouldn't be able to recognise a real particle cannon if it shot them in the face.

Incidentally, if you are reading this with a CRT monitor, you are being shot in the face with a particle cannon.

Yes, hence the name Cathode Ray Tube. Incidentally, I've been regularly "shot in the face with a particle cannon" most days since I was.....I think 6? When my dad got his TRS-80, and I'm just fine.

Okay, strictly speaking the particle gun hits the screen which then glows and the light hits your face, but that ruins the joke, as terrible as the joke might have been.

Well, due to wave-particle duality, the photons being blasted outward from your monitor are somewhat particle cannoning you. Just not very forcefully.

I was playing along, you know.....would've said something about too bad ICC shields aren't half as good at defending against against particle cannons but someone probably would've jumped in and accused me of QQing.
