general consensus;

ICC get worst fighters but sneakiest launch platforms
UGTO are all-round best at fighters
K'luth get the best fighters with mediocre launch platforms

Thing with luth carriers: Cloak then retarget fighters for cloaky carrier.
I do not believe this is intentional but right now because of this Luth are by the far the best at fighters.

if the ship cloaks the fighters should immediate return to the ship. At least that is my understanding.

They should, but I think the feature of re-ordering fighters is causing an issue.

I thought it was fixed, but I'll test it again.

any chance of giving all carriers another slot now that EWAR fighters are actually useful?

FI-8's are labelled FI-18's when launched.
ICC Line dread aux reactors are fore and left. Presuming it's supposed to be fore/aft?

AI are back to being listed with a number added, and Fighters as well now. It's rather amusing to see Fighters quickly reach ridiculous strings of roman numerals.

Are we quite certain that is necesary for fighters?

I just tested the fighters in a spiracle dread and tried to have them target hostile targets and friendly targets when I am cloaking on the k'luth. No matter the situation they still return to the ship when the spiracle begins cloaking. They ignore any Shift+N/retargetting orders and return.

Wormholes now cannot be used to jump over servers (this is pending cross-server communication, which will require some time, unfortunately).

Eventually the plan is to give each of the fighters a unique callsign, we just don't have a list of those ready to use ingame yet.

What's wrong with "Tarsus XCVLMCV"? I'd like to see a CAP controller try saying that one 3 times fast.

Are you guys able to name them by flight/squadron instead of individually?

You could then use flight names like:
Rebel, Daredevil, Vindicator, Nightstalker, Ripper, Aces, etc etc.
Typical fighter squadron names.

And if there are gonna be so many flights out that the names begin to be recycled, you could add a postfix that doesn't use roman numerals.

Perhaps, Alpha, Beta, Charlie... etc.

So you end up with combos like Vindicator Alpha or Nightstalker Charlie.

Just some suggestions

I would just like to note that to keep consistency with the Darkspace Lore fighters probably should not be named since names imply they have people inside of them and they do not in fact have pilots. The fighters are manned by AI. Because and I quote "Nobody wants to play chicken with a chemical laser."

Where in the lore did it state that DS fighters are UCAVs?

I didn't catch that.
