Question doesn't make much sense. :/
They're attached to the ship, seems fine to me. Most of the current ICC ships don't have those types of protrusions though. :/

You could also try Blender!
It's completely free, and there are a vast amount of resources for it.

well, i got to thinking about this for a while and offer this up. There's no pictures because my drawing really sucks. The verbal should be adequate:
Consider the fighters used by fighter bombers (it's a ship...). I would like to see a fluid skin on it, similar to a liquid sphere that will change shape while accellerating/decellerating (as well as maintain that form at a given velocity). Basically it will start out as a sphere, then elongate upon launch to an elliptical shape (flowing about...), becoming longer as it accellerates to full speed. Upon impact w/ target, the fluid-fighter will conform to the shape of it's impact area (though slightly discolored). It will be equipped w/ a single flux/pulse device and continuously damage the targeted ship for a given time period.

I rather like the idea about redoing the home jumpgates.. since it would make more sense to have a large station-like object in orbit of somewhere, instead of our current jumpgates. Anybody want to take on that project?

Hi there I am working on a ship and at themoment I am doing thetexture for the thing.
I am hoping to have it all finished in the next couple of days and hopefully if all works out it will be a very good multi-purpose ship

Like a giant station/thing/platform/installation/facility/wallawalla type something (not near a planet) to act like a covert in deep space (with in the home system) ?
