Re: Carbon Rod
No, I was thinking in place of the home gate. Just a station. To add a bit more realism to the spawning; not materialising out of random space... and a bit of home-planet ambience. Clearly the might of the UGTO would be able to build some grand looking home station/fleet foundry, right? The jump gate looks lame compared to how it should ideally be.
But that works too.

Here's some pointers to Bifrost Station, the ugto home"gate", from history galactica:
In secret, the GCC had been playing a major gambit. In stationary orbit over the North Pole, the GCC had been working on a ship construction yard for the last year and a half. Designated Bifrost Station, it was originally designed to build long range probes and colony ships to the rest of the worlds in the Sol system for possible use in the rebuilding of Earth
2241 CE: The new Bifrost Fleet Foundry is completed on the site of the original ship docks. This shipyard is build modularly, so that it can be easily expanded to accommodate larger and more powerful vessels in the future. This remains the primary ship construction facility for the UGTO to this day.
Maby that gives someone an inspiration...

Replacement UGTO Dreadnought
I'm not an artist, so the shading is probably wrong, and the profile views seem a bit dodgy, so pay more attention to the main image.

Needs more phallic.
haha, just kidding, looks cool.
and Bifrost should just be a bunch of blocks around a central spine. It's Modular, so their should be easy access to, well, everywhere.
ICC fleet shipyards......giant cheese block.
K'luth fleet shipyards.....a giant frying pan.

That looks cool, i like this better than the current ugto transport ship. However, I want to see you create your sharky teeth EAD

Hmm. I might take a crack at an ICC Shiphard station.

My first ship! Yes, its red, the color scheme of the Vimir(V'ladmir).
Anyways, the model is a lot thinner than i anticipated, but any suggestions, ect, are welcome

Hi
First time I post on this forum.
Havent played for a long while and thinking of starting again.
To the point tho:
I am no artist, nor good at 3D rendering. Here is an image of a probable ICC frigate.
Not textured: I dont know enough of drawing to do it.

Length: 305m
Height: 45m
Width: 120m
Fear the ugliness.
Attempt at a cruiser in the same style:

Length: 665m
Height: 225m
Width: 325m
This is the first time I have shown any of my hobby works outside of my brother and my roomie. As you can see, I suck at this.

Be quiet, those are nice models and fit within the game well. Just slap a few textures on those and they'd be near enough in-game quality.
