While I really like this.
I understand that creates a dangerous imbalance.

Bit of a bump, I havent been around in ages. I noticed fleet levels have indeed been implemented, but I can't find anything about the bonuses for each fleet level. It does not appear to be in the manual or wiki. Can anyone enlighten me with this information?

Currently only insignias on the website are tied to fleet levels, as we've been focusing more on the gameplay side of things.

Other than that, the maximum member count is increased from 50 to 100 from levels 0 to 1.

I've added this information to the Wiki.

is there no way to pull fleet credits?

Id like to take ftl credits and donate them half to vangaurd and half to fatal squadren please?

Since they hold the majority of xftl

i got a idea for fleets. ship customization


[*] Individuality
[*] less dull coloring

such a thing would give fleets more Individuality then just a clan tag and a Insignia. example : the real faction my fleet is based off (Sovereign Colonies Armed Forces from the game Dead Space 3) my fleets color scheme would be Green (main) and Orange (secondary)

Main color would be the color of most of the ships hull and Secondary color would be more like details like Stripes or Patches on the ships hull (like the giant stripe on the new ICC cruiser model in Beta)

I really don't think that ships of a Navy would come in customizable colors. Seriously.

UGTO are white/red themed. They should remain that to identify them distinctively as UGTO ships. Doesn't make sense to have a blue/green UGTO ship.

What could be customizable would be your fleet emblem or insignia applied as a decal on your ship... IF you were part of a fleet.

Other things that are possible could be your Shipname displayed as a decal on some part of the hull too. Maybe even your Player ID as the ship's registration number. Though that will probably be possible only on the larger classes of ships.






But, more important game features will probably take precedence over this.

My only problem with this... is that you are taking things that are given freely now, and putting a literal price on them. I feel that until there is a way to gain credits ingame without paying real money... this would be a biased and unfair system.

However, as far as the INGAME side of this goes. I really like it. We've all done the f2p/p2w type game, and there is no harm in that...

tl;dr:
IMO keep forums/max fleet size how they are, otherwise, top notch idea.
