Good Job spotting the flaw ahead of time. Now, if we could only go back in time and fix the ED...

Fattie's design wins hands down.

...Kanman, did you consider what would happen if a torp happened to hit one of those long things? Good bye engine...

Its just avoiding those pesky planets that always seem to crop up in his viewscreen that kan has problems with

I haven't seen Light-of-Aurora post here yet, so I am taking the liberty of posting what I consider his best work.

http://beta.darkspace.net/index.htm?module=forums.php&page=/viewtopic.php?topic=37584&forum=36&11

It was Light's intention that it be a cruiser....I believe slightly larger than a standard cruiser yet smaller than a Dread.

Personally I'd like to see it added as a Pirate faction Cruiser, as they have no cruisers, The story line that they are UGTO Passenger Liners highjacked and converted to combat uses by Pirates, could be used.

I like how it looks, but it's not phallic enough

also, it's too.....squarish. it's not the smooth, round, AA curves of regular cruisers.

but for a converted space liner.....usually they would have a lot of volume to hold more people

I've wasted too much time on these to let this thread go... I see Feralwulf has beat me to the punch though

Take your pick!

http://www.darkspace.net/index.htm?module=forums.php&page=/viewtopic.php?topic=39116&forum=134&19 UGTO Grand Carrier : This is the last one I ever did. I think it's the sexiest by far, but it seems like it really isn't necessary. I think it still looks sexy though.. and I'm not usually vain (really) but... DAMN IT IS SOOO HOT. IMHO.

http://beta.darkspace.net/index.htm?module=forums.php&page=/viewtopic.php?topic=37809&forum=36&29 MIR Taurus Destroyer : An attempt at a MIR ship. w/e...

http://beta.darkspace.net/index.htm?module=forums.php&page=/viewtopic.php?topic=37598&forum=36&10 K'luth 'Crest' Cruiser : A sort of mix between cruiser and dreadnought. Or at least, it was intended to look like that.

http://beta.darkspace.net/index.htm?module=forums.php&page=/viewtopic.php?topic=37555&forum=36&11 K'luth 'Carpal' Frigate : I really think this one should be in game , as the entry-level Frigate for the K'luth. The model was sort of a mix between Scout, Frigate, and Engineer.

Some of my older... crappier... models are mixed in here... they're not very good -_-.

Ah yes LOA, I personally favour the Crest Crusier, its smooth, and has a nice look to it, (better than the current kluth crusier in some ways)

I had this model before a few months ago, so I just quickly scanned in a pencil drawn texture map for it, would of been nice if I had pencil crayons or something, and I didnt feel like ripping off darkspace textures from screenshots.. Instead of pictures I just did an all around video of the thing. It's not a new ship idea, its just a model concept for the Nest. The "limbs" are more sharp/pointy/straight then the current model, but that to me makes the nest seem more fierce. Anywho, here it is: [ WMV - (~2MB) ]

edit: had to fix the link
