The only thing to me that seems a little unbalanced is the UGTO SS have core weps..
All equiv. stations only have 2

Ok think back to 483 did u see so much station spam NO wana know why the stations only had WH get rid of the HMA and you will get rid of station spam. think about it socilogically not LOGICALLY yes u can still do it NO PROBLEM but remember people are lazy use it and fix the problem of them using so many stations devs say we cant control what ships people select you can if u make them less attractive WITHOUT weakening them in combat

Also another thing was they cost a lot of pres to lose too. Big slow moving, easy to hit things that only had a WH to move around with, AND massive pres loss. That is why a station was a RARE thing to see back then. This was the flip side that I suggested other then the in combat drone "nerf". Up the pres loss massively and people will run away from them in flocks! Not only are people lazy, people are greedy too, and they want the easy button to pres gain. Take that away and make people have to WORK for there pres again.....hoo boy you will see more cruisers then you can shake a stick at.

so, hm, if i can summarize/coaggulate some ideas

support stations:
should be more focused on SUPPORT. less direct fire weapons (beams and torpedoes) and more indirect fire (missiles, but preferably lots of fighters), can withstand a lot of fire and give an area buff to friendly ships, or serve various other purposes like repair and what not. some light beams for PD.

command stations:
would it be possible to give the station a special build that can construct different platforms than engineers build? maybe a platform that can spawn smaller ships, or that can train infantry? or tier 2 platforms? otherwise provides tactical and strategic support to a fleet, so wormholes, construction, etc. perhaps should have some input on grouping when that gets implemented.

battle station:
lighter armour (but still quite a lot) and more direct fire weapons. essentially there purely to have a lot of firepower. this shouldnt include too many beams to give smaller ships a better chance. mostly cannons, missiles, torpedoes.
